Angels and Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge reveals new song ‘Paralyzed’ on Rolling Stone!

97030ff877dfe2ff34e020263d67db381-640x360 It’s been around two years, since we last heard from Angels and Airwaves, but today, October 6, the frontman Tom DeLonge revealed the track ‘Paralyzed‘ from their upcoming album ‘The Dream Walker’ in a phone-call with Rolling Stone.

This is what DeLonge said about the song: “Lyrically, the song is about sleep paralysis. I think we needed something that would turn heads and ignite a fan base of post-hardcore punk-rock kids that might still be lingering there from my earlier years.”.

The Dream Walker has been made by one question: “How do we do something that is a left turn from what people know of Angels and Airwaves?”. DeLonge explains, that they “needed something that would turn heads and ignite a fan base of post-hardcore punk-rock kids that might still be lingering there from my earlier years.”

The lead singer also revealed, that there’s another song on the album called ‘Tunnels‘, which was made in memory of his dad, who passed away earlier this year. After getting the call about his death and coming back from the hospital, he wrote the chorus for the song, which is about the doubt of gods existence. Musically he describes it as “a little Motown or it sounds folky but anthemic.”

On October 1, the band posted a photo from the recording process on Instagram with the caption: “Decisions decisions decisions @tomdelonge #angelsandairwaves #tomdelonge”.

The Dream Walker will be released on October 31. On the same day, DeLonge’s label, To The Stars, will begin to release some of the music videos, animations, comic books, a novel and feature film from the multimedia project Poet Anderson: The Dreamwalker.
